It’s ok buddy, you won.
Of course this occasionally happens; deer get their antlers locked in battle, and they can’t get them out. Sometimes they both die.
i’m still looking at this image and it’s so impressive to me
after this guy’s foe died (what do u think the interim was like) did he jsut drag around the carcass until the body fell off at the neck or what. did he go out of his way to behead it. whats the story here. i want to interview this deer
God, when I was a little kid I used to have a terrible nightmare about looking out through my window on a foggy evening and seeing this weird, freaky-ass lopsided shadow approaching through the mist, then when it got closer I realized it was a deer with its head twisted sideways due to the weight of another deer’s torn-off head impaled on one of its antlers. And I’d sink below the windowsill and hide while it pressed its nose against the window and just stared into my house.
I guess I must have seen that somewhere, I’ve come across pictures/videos of the tangled antlers thing, but I never consciously realized that THIS EXACT DECAPITATED HEAD PHENOMENON was something that really happened, holy shit.
